Nice job on the old Toy, looking great. Hey Seth, for what its worth, the Luvs never came stock with the stepside beds, they were very popular back in the 70's though and several companies were building them as an aftermarket kit, the most popular at the time was California Stepside, they made them for all the mini's of that era.

Thanks guys.
The final color is yet to be determined. Bren, the owner, is an airbrush artist, so it will probably see something along those lines included. That's a long way off though. I think primer is just as good as a gloss finish though.
The bed was manufactured by California Stepside. A company that made them for most of the popular mini-trucks in the 70's and 80's. I think they're out of business now. We've done a lot of mods to it though, with more to come.
We got the front end back together this afternoon and ran it up and down. Need to cut the inner fenders out, and it looks like the LCA's are going to hit before the front crossmember. We'll have to fab new aft crossmembers, tuck the drag link up in to the oil pan, and re-do the exaughst before we're finished.
Getting there. I'll post some more pics later.

Yeah, these trucks need to be Z'd to lay flat. More so than the torsion bar trucks.

Great job on the body work! You can tell how smooth it is just from how light is reflected.

No particular order:

just an opinion...

I think it looks good, but it needs a better grille, like a true billet phantom - and you need to loose the delorean / Western Mag wheels...lol they just look weird on it.... ( or did you already? i noticed different wheels in a few of the pics.. MUCH BETTER!)

but the truck is pretty nice so far!

Just my opinion!

Yes, the polished wheels you see in a few pictures are the ones we'll be using.
an update, not in order, showing the swaybar and shock mounts. Also the new radiator support, driveline hump, valves, and a few other items:
