tube body mounts and a tube gearbox xmember.
still need to build a member for the center bearing and add a large diam tube to the xmembers so the exhaust can run thru

been working hard.
built centerbearing xmebers.
all have a large pipe for the exhuast to run thru
made tube bag mounts
finshed tube compressor/ batt mounts
made tube body mounts up the very front
finshed plating the front zed
bought shocks but i need more studs to mount them
made half tube lower arms
painted it all, well most of it all
and started remounting tanks
body will go on this week for a small trad bd and to see how it all looks
also got a complete 4 runner dash to go in to replace the brown 91 pickup dash

well i cut the floor and rear wall out the yota
shaved the rain gutters
got a new shortbed (rare in aus) looks just like seths, well not anymore i cut it up so i have room to fix it.
shaved firewall pinch
uhhmmm yeah ah well ill throw up some piccies
oh yeah dropped motor an inch, section sump and oil pickup and skimed the top off the engine crossmember too.
should clear a stock hood now

shocks are in now tho, well half in
more room to move now, has lots of filler and pop rivits and glavanised sheet under the paint, ill strip it soonish.
also started shaving the front body panels because it keeps raining outside so i havent had a chance to put the floor in

started on the bed.
the cab now has a new tranny tunnel.
as for the bed after bare metaling it i was a bit disapointed, bodylines were bits of glavanised steel pop riveted down with body filler over just about everything, there wasnt even a part on the bed with no filler.
so anyways i capped it and put 4x4 steel flairs in and a spare door donated the bodylines

damn that looks like its a pain in the ass. wouldnt it be easier to just buy a new bed side. the stcok hinge suicide door looks sick. any more pics

cant buy new bedsides, locally i dont even think u can still get sides for an 90 modle toy.
well saying that 4x4 fibregalss ones are probably availble somewhere.
nuh no more pics of the suicides, i just used a passenger side hinge on the back of the driver door, cut out the old jam and mounted it on some angle inside. im still to do the catch and sheet work in there but i got tired of crouching inside the cab to work on it

can you post pics of how the hinges look ..and yea you can get the fiberglass beds and custom ones also

look at the door normally, now imagine them on the oposite side of the door.
thats all i did was graft the front of a passenger door on the back of driver door.
keep the original hinges on to set it all up.
pretty much cut out half the original pillar and mount the new hinges in there, i used some angle bar.
