82 hilux

grafting shaving...all the fun stuff.

wanted to have it complete for East coast cruise, like 2 weeks away. not going to happen.
will probably have it complete and in paint for half way havoc next year and hopefully minitruckin' n some dvd crews will attend again and i can try n sneak in to the background haha.

its got a runner front on it now.

ill have a few weeks on it then the van comes in for shaving, cleaning, body and paint. always nice to have a decent tow car.

continueing on trying to finish these doors:

cut a channel and flipped the handel round.
after this pic i welded on the last mount so the handel bolts on normally

i just need to get some longer bolts to bold the door on. mount them all properly and start sheeting inside. ill try to get all that done next week and them im looking to take a break from the truck till probably january. going to do some body work on my van and paint it, my bros project also needs work.

had a bit of a break from it and workd on some other stuff but i got back in to it this week

i spend pretty much every day on it.
well that or the international harvester, my van or doing something on old mate chris' rodeo

i have a decent camera but it always runs out of batteries and i dont like taking it in the garage.

but ah yeah the inside of the pass door is now fully sheeted and welded in and the A pilar is shaved and the catch welded on, guess ill smooth it tommorow and take a nice higher resolution picture.

its sunny so it came outside and i trial fitted some stuff.

its been a while but ive been working away
pilar are sheeted, rear of the cab is smoothed with the 4runner tailgate in there.
looks like ill have to recess the window bucket in a little..ah well
the whold cab is pretty much in etch and at the moment ive been building the bed. body work on it mostly.

also bought an 86 hilux, i have a 2 door surf/4runner thats going to go on the frame.
it will be bagged, laid flat and probably a v6 conversion, i dunno about body drop ill see how i feel when i get there.
also got a cool front end idea forit but i wont say anything till its done.
