looking good man, did you get a chance to fire up the v8 yet?

Lol,no..it will be a while, still looking for a Ford 9 rear end, build my back half,etc,etc...thinking about stroking it to a 347 but idk....deff at least a new bottom end, you got that 5 speed in yet?
macdave06   +1y
I would look into doing a 331 if you wanna stroke it. I've read of a few issues with 347s.

what issues?you have any links to some good reads on it? it's bored .30 over with flat tops and 351 heads now,I'm gonna run roller rockers and roller cam,the stroker crank is still up in the air though...engine's gonna be set up to drive, not for drag racing at all,2.70ish rear gear, parker racing funnel web intake manifold, everything's set up for top end, figured with the stroker revving higher would fit the rest of the build.do you know anybody that makes the flat top distributor for the 5.0?all the ones I see are for chevy's....

IVE NEVER SEEN A LOW PRO DISTRIBUTOR FOR A FORD...INTRESTING TO KNOW WHO MAKES THEM...THE ONLY ONES IVE SEEN ARE FOR THE HEI CHEVY
cable   +1y
yea...I'm not seeing many options.that flat top would be perfect.

Balancing issues and too extreme of an angle on the connecting rods. Probably has to do with the length of rods they decided to use for some of the kits.

What about using ford edis? I'm not sure how they get signal but I'd imagine theres a setup for somethin thatll fit the 5.0

sounds like I'll be better off with a stock stroke then. here's some pics of the truck put together for scr8pefest,I didn't even get there until sunday around 11,not very many people still there.started raining before I got the truck unloaded,so I left it on the trailer.only a few people got to see it.it was pretty much over as soon as I got there, but oh well at least it made it there....

the hoods temporary,it use to have an off set hole in it for the intake manifold on the 22re to come through,so I had to make the hole huge to be proportionate, lol.hell everythings temporary,I just wanted to get it to scr8pefest!
krazedprof   +1y
that looks awesome man. how did you bodydrop your bed with the notch and all im thinking of doing it for now until i sheet the whole thing just for temp and would u be willing to make a set of those engine mounts ill pay ya
cable   +1y
It\'s just sectioned down The sides with The middle cut out,I wouldn\'t waste your time on it if your gonna sheet it anyway.just cut it completely out and make a new frame for the floor out of some 1x1 square tube, get some wheel tubs and skin it with some 16 gauge sheet. I can make you some motor mounts,pm me & lmk how soon you want them.
