Thanks for the comments guys! I'm a big fan of the tube notches to. I need to take a pic comparing the size of the old to the new, it's about 4" shorter.

Just doing a bunch of small tedious things right now, like removing all the factory bed brackets, and steering component mounts lol I just want to get it rolling!

Hey Rob...you did make your notches correct?? Just wondering if you willing/want to make another set?? Im in the process of buying Seth's 3-link kit & I wanted a sic/strong notch to go along with it. Hit me back up & let me know ok!

Sorry I didn't see this before Donny, I'll have to see how much tubing I have left What size notch do you need?

Finally an update. I've just been doing small things, starting to get antsy about making it a rolling chassis.

I wanted to make some shear load gussets but I needed to bend them to match the curvature of the frame. So I made this contraption to bend the 1/4 plate

Here is a view of me putting it in action, it worked pretty well.

I finally got to adding the wrap around part of the front bag brackets, it's not really for strength just for looks. I still need to do the bottom, I just bent and tacked it in a circle as I went a long to get the shape I wanted.

Here is an over all shot, I removed the rest of the factory brackets that I won't be using like the steering part brackets, bed support brackets, and other misc items.

I wanted to add a shear load gusset to the Z but I thought it would look cleaner if it was bigger so this is what I came up with, I know I know it's big

Thanks for all the comments guys it helps me stay motivated! All these small things are taking me forever I just want to drive it already

Oh yeah one more pic

I replaced the factory cross member with all the holes with a solid piece. I pie cut the top to make the edge flush with the top of the factory frame rail you can see on the top. I still need to flip the frame over to do the bottom.

Progress looks awesome bro, oh & Ill measure the rear of my truck this weekend while were working on it & see how big of a notch I may need. Im thinking it wont be too big cause Im only planning to 18's...plus next year Im going to stock floor it so the frame will be for sale!

Lookin real good Rob. My next build will be done like this. I will find just a frame to start with and then find me a donor body and all. Seems so much more simple to work with a frame you can flip around. Good luck with the rest of the build!
