Well turns out I can't reuse the factory xmember, so i'll have to do something else. I do like how you made your so it can be unbolted. But here's the progress I got today.

ya like he said ur using core flux i used flux on mine when i 1st bagged it and that shit dose not hold up like using gas..

Yea i'm using flux and i'm gonna make the bridge bars do somwhat of a moonshape angled down. so the bags will sit lower. And don't worry about it not holding. before it gets cut out i'm driving it down the street to a friends house, he's gonna go over all my welds with gas. I'm pretty new to welding and was just taking a shot at it. I didn't have the money to get any gas for the welder yet.

Good for you. Gas is expensive. So are the bottles. I paid $300 for my bottle alone, and it's $50 to fill it. As long as you're doing it, you're good in my book.

Well the welder I got it only welds up to 1/4 inch and thats with 2-3 passes. I knew it wouldn't hold by itself but I really wanted to practice. Plus it's brand new, I only paid $250 for it. I'm gonna buy a bigger one eventually. But hopefully in 2 weeks i'm gonna buy the mig conversion for it. And i'm buying a 110lb bottle for $40 from a friend and i'm just gonna trade that in for a new bottle at a welding supply and gas dealer here. I've got 2 full bottles one helium, and one nitrogen. I don't know what size they are all I know they stand almost 5 1/2 ft tall. Ones gonna be for my toyota, and the other is gonna be for my nissan.
