Rear brake??'s

What do you do w/ the proportioning valve? Move it, get rid of it? can it be moved to in front of the notch and just shorten the lines or what? What is everyone else doing w/ theirs? Any pix would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!
Oh and i have a 92.

get rid of it. go the the junk and get an axle t or cut and reflare your lines with some 3/16 american nuts.

i went to the junkyard and got a proportioning valve off a cherakee i think, one that has two holes in and three out. ran the two from the master into it. and coming out the three holes i ran one to each caliper and one to the axle. then just take that valve out and make a mount to hold the brake line and the end of the hose in place. o and get rid of the second brake line that T's off the caliper line. some people haver told me they just took off the second line and the valve and just plugged the hole off the caliper line and they said it worked fine too. i prefer the proportioning valve just to make sure everything is getting the fluid it needs. hope this helps.

You can also get one off of a 84 toyota the porptioning valve mounts under the master cylinder and you can run a single line to the back and then split it with a t to either side.As a bonus the porptioning valve acts the same weather your lowered or not back its in a staionary postion

The 79-83 trucks also have those same proportioning valves under the MC.

my 05 scion xb has the same proportioning valve under the master cylinder. LOL. anyway, yea i like the valve under the master cylinder. makes the rear cleaner.

There is no way to move the stock one up to infront of the area where the notch will be and just have that flex line going to the axle or does that bar going from the valve to the axle have something to do with this all?
