I have browsed this entire suspension section and now where did I see anything about lifting. Don't give me any crap because i have a fullsize that is deeply going under some reconstruction. Anywho how would i lift my 88 single cab 2wd toyota in the front. Do i need to buy upper control arms since the stockers will hitt the frame after a certain height? In the rear I am just going to ad some leaf's from a 4x4 truck. Help! And if i do need to get some new control arms where do I get them, and if i can go a cheaper route lifting it what do I do?

tried the torsion bars?

Lifting a 4wd is simple. Straight axle it. Its not even hard.

Cranking the torsion bars is the only simple-cheap way of a "minimal" lift. you can get upgraded (larger) torsion bars and new upper controll arms for a little more. there are many companies that make lift components for 2WD toys.

what are some of the companies (cheap) names?? for the 2wd front suspension.

are you trying to get a pre-runner type lift from this ??

no like 2-6 something like thaT!!!!

Downey and others make complete kits but cheap they are not. Best bet would be get 4x4 parts truck and modify the arms to fit the 2wd frame. I can get you pics comparing the 2wd and 4wd set up differences.

No. Go get a 4WD parts truck, and cut the 2WD shit off the frame, and weld on the 4WD crap. The frames are the same, different front suspension.

well how much lift will i get from just tightening the torsion bars?
