or you could relocate your leaf spring hangers back some, and run a 2-link w/ panhard bar setup. and not touch the tank. it really just depends on what your building it for. the 2-link is one of the easier ones to make, but if you wanna hit the sides it licks balls.(in other words, it's not flexible) but just to bag it as cheaply and easily as possible(other than mono-leafing it) it's the best way to go. well....in my opinion anyway.

every one shit talks reverse fourlinks but i have a cando reverese link and it is the shit. most of the time poeple hate on reverse because they build them wrong.

Yeah I am going with a 2 linkwith a watts link but im moving my tank so its hidden under the bed and more out of the way.Its all in what you wanna do....do it to what makes you happy and you can afford.

You can do a forward 3-link and leave the gas tank in the stock location. Just look at my truck.

with 2 links it is hard to make the pinion angle currect especially with short link bars

Reverse 4-links go against the laws of physics. Its simple, they're wrong, end of story dont do it.

I CONCUR...WHEN THE THROTTLE IS PEGGED FROM A DEAD STOP THE BACK OF THE TRUCK SAGS PRETTY HARD AND CAN GET REALLY BOUNCY UNDER WAY IF YOUR SHOCKS ARE MOUNTED INCORRECTLY. A REVERSE FOURLINK CAN RIDE JUST AS NICE AS ANYTHING ELSE BUT JUST LIKE SETH SAID, IT WORKS ON PRINCIPLES AGAINST THE LAW OF PHYSICS.

WOW, I was wondering how long this would take to come up on this board. sore subject with some people. sure, they fight physics, but how much pedal planting do we really do with our trucks, this isnt a drag racer we're talking about. i'm not advocating them, but for what they're used for on these type of trucks, no harm really, these are not race cars guys. and seth, contrary to what has become the accepted term as of late, you have a four link, not a three link. a wishbone link is still technically a triangulated four link. the near point is just one connecting point. a real three link system needs an additional bar to locate the axle, like a panhard or watts.

Actually, you are incorrect. Have you counted the number of links that I have? Facing forward there are 3. The uppwer wishbone comes off as 1 piece, not two, so there are only 3 pieces. Somehow, im my mind, that doesnt add up to 4. Now, my set up could have just one solid link facing forward and require a panhard or watts to keep the axle cenetered, yes, but thats just another version of a 3-link. Go look on the SD.com site, check out the bolt on S10 setup. Its a bolt on 3-link, and its virtually the same thing I have. Without there actually being 4 link bars, its not a 4-link.
