How is the tranny member from FBI? Im about to get my member and dont know if Fbi is good or not

i had to modify it ...too long

Instead of z-ing it, just do yours like Sadistic did the one in MiniTruckin. Just move the crossmember and arms up and it won't change the height of your motor mounts.

You also have to move up your steering box and drag links, and clearance your frame to turn lock to lock. Otherwise you will have crazy bumpsteer and a lot of toe change throughout travel. I did it this way, it would be less work to Z the frame and install some bolt on dropped mounts...

yeah that way too much work for a daily driver. z'ing it is the most econonical thing to do!

I built the Z into the stockfloor frame I built for mine so that it would lay good and flat, but that MiniTruckin article made it look way easier than a Z. I can definitely see your point on the raising the steering issue though, now that I think about it.

Yeah I did it that way. I wish I would have just Zd it. Would have saved em some hours, lol. Doesnt help that I ended up rebuilding the suspension a second time though.

yeah i'm just gonna Z mine! not that i'm scared of the work involved in sectioning the suspension! not to step on anyones toes, but it just doesn't seem like the smart thing to do. it's a hell of a lot more work to section it for about the same result as Z'ing it!

yea im in the same boat with rickys old truck but i have a problem the motor is already droped to the crossmemeber so if i section the memeber id have to section the oil pan also but if i z it my motor will be threw the hood
