oh, and yes a 2link does work pretty good, but when u lay a truck out w/ a 2link setup it most often wants to pull on the drive-shaft or if u run big wheels u gotta worry about how far the drive-shaft comes up into the cab. i finally settled for a new frame with long 2link bars, panhard bar and coil-overs. i am a 1/4 mile racer, every weekend almost. i tried every single bag, firestone, phoenix, slam specialty, and billet bags. i tried 2 link,conventinal 4 link and a triangulated 4 link, and a reverse triangulated 4link. i never had luck till i switched to the fixed ride height with coil-overs. i promise u it's gonna be a headache once he starts tryin to launch it and tears shit up.

Not that it's NHRA legal, what cons can you guys find with putting power to my set up---any input appreciated.

is the only thing holding the bar on is that tiny pin at the end that looks like it was for a sway bar? if so that is death.

My truck hooks up better bagged then it did on leafs and its all because of the 4 link which is what most high hp machiens are running on the track anyways except they rock coilovers instead. the 4 link itself shouldnt cause you any problems you would just need to get yourself a good bag, some nice adjustable shocks and mabey use some of the adjustable 4 link mounts that you see from summit so you can change pinion and bar angles to help with traction down the track. the other guys said that your pinion angle will change with axle wrap but your axle wrap will be a whole hell of alot less then with leafs. i say do it but do some research into where people are typically placing their coilovers and different ways to make it benefit you.

That "tiny pin" is the factory bolt that held the load of the original leaves.

ok badasstaco um i dont know if u have ever seen a drag car but drag cars run two and four link suspentions. and if u weld it right and use enough braceing for a drag car you wont tear a bracket off. i've help build nhra certified funny cars and we used a parrallel 4 link ran quaters in the 9's never broke a weld. low sst is right. as for badasstaco wat the hell are u talking about?? are u try'n to say that leafsprings hook better than a link system??

James that is Ryan Rodriguez's 67, its actually a blown small block. its on cylinders and launches MEAN, he launched it a few times in sallisaw the night of the cruise.
