Call it whatever you want but to do 19's on the front and keep stock metal no holes or shit sticking through, a frame is my only option. This is going to be a daily drive and I want to be able to drive and turn from only 2 or 3in off the ground. Your rear set-up has way to much camber to drive like that and you will never be able to turn when your that low with the stock set-up in the front. Im going for functionality so if it has to stray away from "true uni-drop" so be it.

That's what I want to be able to do. What I've been thinking about doing is uni-balls on custom control arms and shorten the axles so I would have pretty good camber thriugh out the travel and be albe to drive low and turn some what. The only thing is I don;t think I will like how it looks with the wheel sucked in some.

Shortening the axle woulndnt make the wheels suck in. You would have to shorten the controls arms to do that.

That's what I meant by custom control arms with uni-balls.

The wheels wount have to bee sucked in that much, look at the extensive escalade it can turn low as hell and they look fine.

Yea but mine would be in alot more than the escalade's are to clear the fender. I don't think your body style has as much of a flare as mine do.

had a breakthrough last night!!!

It isnt the axle binding at all, its the ball joints. the lower ball joint binds really quick. I pulled that apart and jacked up the lower control arm and it went clear the hell up there, the axle will go up far too. I will have to notch the hell out of the support but it will go up far. I just have to change the lower ball joint angle, i'm sure the top too. Just...I say it like its no big deal.... New lower control arms will have to be made out of steel so I can change the joint angle.

Wow, it felt like god opened the roof last night and let a ray of light through. I was very happy that is wasnt my axle binding. yet.

I would still have to contentd to the tie rod ends, but thats not as big of a problem as the axle.

The moral of the story is....I miss my mazda....

now that i think about it. how would the ball joint bind if there was no upper control arm? what happens again? if u jack up the lower control arm w/ the spindle the spindle camber is real negative & when u try & straighten it it binds???

Yes. The top would bind to but the bottom wont let it get that far.
