the angle wouldn't be as much its just a thought

I think that the axle is binding at the joint. After putting the spindle back on the car and jacking the corner up to see where it stopped it looked like it was the way I had my control arms, so I took the control arm off to see if that was the problem and it wasnt. Even with the control arm off it will only go so far.I cant see it being the axle being to long because whith it all the way down I can still pull on the spindle and move the axle back and forth. I don't know if anyof this makes sence. And now I forgot why I even wrote it.

im kind of lost now but i sorta see what your saying all i was saying is if the axle binding making it shorter would reduce the angle

I think part of the problem with the drive axle is because of the shortened spindle. When you shorten it, the camber is corrected quite a bit and makes the angle even more extreme on the cv joint.
At least with the really bad camber, the end of the drive axle is pointed closer to the transmission. Maybe when you remount the upper control arm it will help some if you leave a little negative camber when it gets laid out.

Matt, the wheel is actually farther away from the transmission with the car dropped all the way. It is nearly vertical at normal height and as it goes down the axle gets bent at both ends. That is where the binding happens.

i was thinkin about a frame also. anyone have pics of people that did this. i have seen the 91 civic hatch with the 19/20 combo but has anyone seen others. i want to see how they mounter the body on the frame. i was wondering that cause what would you have to seal it cause your floor wouldnt be part of your body. help please

thanks chris being as tho i am not as low as you guys (i have the 3 inch fiberglass drop LOL) i don't know exactly what happens but i am just trying to help... i like the frame idea but it would be really tough you would need to make a whole new floor like in a truck so that you can take the body off of the frame

in my opinion, i think making a new frame is cheating.. i wouldnt call that a uni-drop.. i call that.. a truck with a civic shell...and i dont like when stuff is commin outta the hood either.. just my opinion

making the axle shorter would INCREASE angle. more binding.

a full frame would be killer, prolly a ton of work in making a new floor & whatnot,I think were gonna cut off the main front supports & do a tube front clip, seems to be the most straight forward route to go
