YOU SAID THE CAR IS LAYING. WHAT IS KEEPING IT FROM BEING AS LOW AS U WANT? IS EXHAUST ON? DID U RAISE IT (I HAD TO)? DID YOU SECTION HEADER DOWN PIPE & CAT (I HAD TO)? WHAT IS THE CAR LAYING ON?

The car is laying on the undercarage. I can see that the exauhst is smashed too. If I was able to drive it down the road it would drag. I knew that I should have taken a picture of it last night, and I will.

the car sits on the ground like it would if I just pulled all the suspension out. BUT the stock plastic side skirts are like 2 inches above the ground. It still looks high. (this is where a body drop would come in) The civic above has the sides laying on the ground. I need it like that. The fucking bodykit still fits on the car!?!?!?! I know there are not a lot of options for me now. Don't get me wrong the car is low and tucks a lot of rim but I'm just not happy. I don't feel it was worth cuting it apart like I did, I have to figure something out. I'll post a pic tonight.

I want it lower. Mines a hair lower then that one. Tucks a ton more wheel though. The 18's sit way up there.

There is a 3rd gen Prelude out there that lays rocker. He actually cut out the whole floor to be able to do it. I don't know if it was ever finished. Both my wagon and the Prelude have the same problem. The unibody hangs lower than the rockers. Even moreso than that, the engine and front crossmember hangs lower than the unibody. My wagon on 17s and the Prelude on 16s both sat the front crossmember on the ground and the back end was still a few inches from the ground. The good thing is, the car looks level like that. Here is a pic of the Prelude frontend without the bumper (before it was painted) You can see that the crossmember is very close to being laid out on 16s (that was before I trimmed the wishbone and cut out the strut tower and made new brackets). But with 17s that is about how far off the ground it is right now even though it doesn't look like in in the picture you posted above. I don't even know what I am trying to say, except that Civics lay out more than we do.

On that body style civic like mine the only thing that hangs below the rockers are the exhaust and the jack points. That is about the only thing I have going for me on my car.I wouldn't need to raise my motor if I would have just gotten my factory spindles shortened. That civic has it in the factory position.

I got ya. Preludes wont get more then a half inch lower then your orange one up there. Sucks, I need to figure something out. I'll take a bunch if pictures from different angles to show you where I'm sitting.

Could you body drop a car a few inches? The floor too weak or what? Would the car just fall apart?

Just reinforce it and make good welds and it should be fine. Make sure to brace it good before cutting the floor out since it is unibody.
