Keep a bucket next to you with some kool water and a towl, take ur time on the welding...do not rush. Weld a 1" or so and stop and put the kool towl on the weld and wipe the panel outwards some. Keeping the heat of the metal is the key so it does not warp. So time and patience!

Wouldn't the rapid cool down from a wet cold cloth make the weld brittle. like welding something and then throwing it in a bucket of water?
