if your bags arent straight up and down when fully inflated then you run the risk of pulling a crimp. that can be a costly mistake for not taking the time and taking the measurements as needed in the first place. xtreme taco (trevor) definately knows what hes talking about

i set mine, and the hardbody im doing parallel when laid out. BUT their pretty damn straight at ride height.. since ride height is usually low.

When my front end is dumped all of the weight is on the frame. I can pick my tire up 1/4 inch since I set it up for 23's. But what do I know? My last truck was only driven for three years daily. When I lay my truck out,the bag isnt twisted or anything, its just not as parallel as when lifted.

DITTO... EXCEPT FOR THE PART ABOUT IT BEING A TRUCK & ON 23S. LOL.

Let me tell you a little story, I recently got rid of a head ach I had with a 86 Mazda b 2000 because it had be hacked up pretty bad. I did some test runs with the truck for about a year before the engine blew.

When I got the truck it was bagged and they had some unsupported rabble like half a "copstopper" for front suspension but it didnt have the upper support so of course it was doomed for failure.

Now for the stress results: Over an 8 month trial of this setup the suspension travel started to deteriorate. It changed vertical to off vertical at full rise nearly 30 degress. You wouldnt beleive the difference this made for the functionality of the bag or the reliability in structure for the bag. Hell it even applied more force to the support structure because of the offset. The bag finaly blew on one side after the offset was nearing 40 degrees and the mounts were laying on the motor they had bent so far. Trust me, you need to listen to the parrelel when raised. Like dude said, how often are you opperating your ride while dumped anyway?

I set mine parallel where I drive it at. In my case about 1" to 1 1/2" off the ground. the bag is still almost parallel layed. I don't drive mine really high. I didn't bag it to drive it raised. I know most bags say 3"-4" at ride height, mine would rarely see that height for very long. Thats not realistic for me.

i always set them up to be flat when layed out, its better for the bag than to be fully compressed and the mounting plates be offset from each other, its perfectly fine for your bag to "accordian" out like this =

ive ridden on air on everything for like 4 years now and never have i had a bag fail from not being straight when lifted.
