I have a similar question about Mcpherson struts. I bought some Drop Zone coilovers for a 2002 Mazda Protege and I just made them work although im pretty sure they werent made to go on a Mcpherson strut. We did get the car lowered some but it makes a horrible binding noise whenever the car takes off and turning at the same time. I know why its making the noise, but I cant figure out how to fix it. Is there a better way to lower the car? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont see how it would give the car positive camber since you wouldnt be changing the control arm geometry at all, it would have the same result as putting shorter springs in, just some negative camber like any lowered car.

It will get positive camber because the pivot point on the lower control arm to the "Frame" stays in the same spot but the other end goes up when you lower the car, so just like any car when the control arms are pointed upward the wheel is sucked a little closer to the frame. But with a mcpherson car there is only a lower control arm to do this so it only ends up sucking in the bottom of the wheel. Hope this makes since, I could draw it out but i'm too lazy and you guys prob don't care about it that much.

WE TOOK THE MCPHERSON AIR STRUT AND TOOK THE TOP STRUT MNT W/ THE 3 BOLTS AND REPRESSED THE BOLTS FACIN DOWN AND MOUNTED IT ON TOP OF THE STRUT TOWER INSTEAD OF UNDERNEATH BOLED THE STRUT TO IT AND GIVES U AN EXTRA BOUT 3" DROP

^^^^ so your ridding on three 8mm or 10mm bolts! that sounds scarry, but i get the idea, id make some sort of brace so that the load of the mount is on the mount not the bolts
