i got my alt off like a 98 ford taraus... had to use a reamer to hog the center of the mazda pulley and spacer thing out...
but it worked just fine.
as far as the wiring... i ended up just using 1 wire from the mazda side to the alt. then one wire jumped over to the positive post on the alt... all the wiring diagrams i was lookin at made it allll harder than it really was... but i guess it depends on what year your alternator is cause there not all the same. even if the alt physically looks the same.
ill try and get some pics of what i ended up with.
also the beauty of a v belt.... if your not dead on straight its not that big of a deal.
oh and i had to notch the bracket on my motor out to get the alt to go in closer to my engine. this way i was able to do it without modifying the tensioner bracket... BUT i did have my motor out so that porob made that easier in my case.
any q's jus ask.... ill help where i can

update ... ford cobra alt broke bottom grounded down mount and wasted my new bracket... tig'ed the case up and gonna try again .... still not in love with this conversion....like the power dont like the pulsating of my lights at idle and it does it throughout the idle curve.... both colonel sanders and i have the same disco affect..
