YOU CAN'T CUT ON THE STRUT - YOU WILL HAVE TO GET THE ADDITIONAL DROP BY MODIFYING ABOVE THE TOP OF THE STRUT - THE BEARING ASSEMBLY - OR THE STRUT TOWER ON THE CAR

What do you mean by modifying the bearing assembly

SEE HOW THIN THIS UPPER MOUNT IS - THERE IS ACTUALLY A BEARING ASSEMBLY UNDER IT - SEVRAL INCHES SHORTER THAN THE STOCK ASSEMBLY.....

^^ no you cant cut a strut itself to shorten it. You can however cut off the mounting tabs if you have a Macpherson strut and move those up to lower the vehicle. BUT, you could ruin the strut from the heat of re-welding the tabs back on. Also, you may notice that it says to not heat the strut, it is under pressure. And also, if you dont weld those tabs on there good you'll be in a world of hurt when your wheel falls off going around a corner. Also, I cant believe you actually told someone from KUSTOMWERKS that what he said was not correct! And I do agree, either modify the upper strut tower mount by raising it, and/or modify the bearing mount assembly by making it shorter as well.

WE TOOK A CAR AND BOLTED THE UPPER REMOVABLE PART OF THE STRUT TO THE TOP OF THE TOWER WITH THE STUDS PRESSED IN FACING DOWN INSTEAD OF FACING UP AND THEN BOLTED THE STRUT BACK UP FROM UNDERNEATH IT DROPPED ABOUT 3" ----DRIVEWAY KUSTOMS----

thats kind of funny cuz i helped a kid do his on an altima a few months ago so YES it can be done. There was no other way to do it on his car cuz he didnt want to cut holes in his hood. Alls we did was cut the very bottom off so we would have the cap and then cut like 2 inches off. Then welded the cap back onto the bottom. Take your time welding it back on tho so you dont heat it up a lot. Yea its prolly not the best thing to do but sometimes ya just hafta do somethin to get it lower. Sorry but cars sure as hell arent as easy to lay out as a truck is

GO AHEAD AND KUT ON THE "EASY STREET BAG STRUT"
AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS - I BET YOU A SET OF THEM THAT ALL THE FLIUD ESCAPES AND THE STRUT BECOMES JUNK......I HAVE LOOKED AT A FOCUS AND THERE IS NOWHERE BELOW THE TOP OF THE BAG THAT IS ON THE STRUT TO GET ANOTHER 2" OF DROP...PROVE ME WRONG!
