theres only 1 02 sensor on these trucks, its before the cat...

and i am running 1 7/8" to the collector, then a single 3" to a magnaflow muffler.

If the cats are gutted out will it cause the dash lights to come on? And anyone else had the o2 simulators burn out? What brand did you buy that burnt out?

yea me and my dad gutted out his cat on his corvette and the SES dash light came on. i am wonderin about the O2'sims myself. if anybody out there knows anymore about O2'sims that would be great to know?

if its pre cat sensor then you dont need a simm.

good god man. lets get something straight.

chris if youve got a 94 TBI with no O2s POST cat and no emissions test then CUT THE CAT OFF. other than for emissions test(clean tailpipe gases) its not nessecary.

backpressure balance is what an H or X pipe equalises. valves will not stick open because you dont have a crossover pipe.

if youve got any muffler(s) at all they produce enough back pressure. nuff said. cut the cats off and 'dont worry be happy'

I got a 2002 chevy fuillsize with a 4.3 ...it has 4 o2 sensors..1 before each cat and 1 after each....I have my exhaust run into a single pipe..will cutting my cats off affect the performance of my engine? will I have to install o2 simulators?

thanks mike!!

none of that. knock it off. iv only got 3 posts remaining this month. AAAAAAAAAHHH!

i thought on the ob2 or whatever trucks messin with the cats can cause the engine to run poor, hence the reason behind o2 simulators.....
MRCO   +1y
right. if its got an O2 AFTER cat and you cut cat out its gonna run like shit cause the second O2 sees NO CHANGE between it and first O2.
