i didn't have to cut the frame. yeah my crossmember hangs down lower than the frame. yes the frame does sit down into the notches on the crossmember and you weld around it. on my truck i cut that notch 2" down so that the frame would sit down lower in the crossmember.

oh, i understand better now than when i started haha. u just went at it to make ur truck sit how u really wanted it to. i will be ordering once i get the measurements.

whats the best way to go about finding center? is it literally the center of everything in you suspension? like center of my brake drum all the way across, frame level? i kno im asking a lot of questions, but i really appreciate all the help

no problem on all the help. as far as your center line what i would do is take a long pipe or something like that and tie a string to each end with a little weight on the end of the string. you would then set that pipe on top of the frame and let the strings hang down. you would want to move the pipe fowards or backwards until your string lines up with the center of the brake drum. Once you get both sides lined up then you would mark the frame where that pipe is and that would be your centerline for suspension.

so in other words, get to pulling the motor? lol

unfortunately yep.lol there's a ford truck show coming up in May it the 18th-20th in Knoxville, TN. this year they're giving away a 56 F-100, so there will probably be a lot of trucks there.

thats the same weekend as showfest, no way im missing showfest this year haha. if i can get away with it, i will pull the motor asap, my dad is gunna freak out and go ape shit sayin i cant do it, but fuck him. single car garage builds ftw.
