my new project.

ive got like 600 now, and possibly more if i sell my torsion brackets and a few emblems/bumper off the truck. atleast get the front layed out and all. im hoping its not as hard to lay this out as im thinking it will be.

for the bag brackets i went to air ride technologies and got their set up. it comes with everything you need to mount it up. i originally ordered my control arms for the shockwaves, but decided to go with regular bags instead. their kit comes with brackets that you can weld to the control arms. what i did on my truck was just tacked the crossmember and hat in place and bolted all the control arms and spindles up to it. it wasn't low enough so i cut the tack welds and raised the crossmember 2". I wouldn't weld it in perminantly until you mock it up and get it laid out.

how did u fill in the gap when u raised the crossmember? or was there even a gap? i guess i wont fully understand til i get the cross member in hand and the motor and front end pulled.

what i did was cut 2" where the crossmember meets the frame and i had to add 2" to the top hat to keep all of the suspension geometry correct.i'll try and get you some better pics of mine today and maybe you can tell a little more about it.

that would be awesome. and if u could kinda show what u cut and added that would be even better!

alright, i see the general idea, and im guessin when i measure for the crossmember width i measure where the stock one is, thats what makes sense to me anyways lol. i dont see exactly where u raised it two inches, or cut the fram where the cross member is. can u sorta tell me where to look for this? i see the part where ur top gussets are, is raised i guess, is this what u are talking about?
