What you did is problably blown a channel in your amp. If you said that one sub is not hitting as hard, but they both are working fine,plus the fact that your RCA work somewhat then it's a channel. To really test to see if you have blown a voice coil on your sub, here is the sure fire way to test. Take a 9volt battery and how each individual voice coil up one at a time and then press the positive and neg to the battery, they should pop if they don't then you know what happened. Also the center of your sub, The little hole in the middle of the magnet, Smell it if it smells burnt then another way to tell it's your voicecoil. One more then did you have that amp brided if so the JBL are not bridgeable amps, you have to run thoughs in stereo.
