is this legit?

ok heres the story, me and my buddy were cruisin around in my 95 ranger. We had our seat belts on and we werent breaking any laws. Well we come to a red light and a state boy pulls up behind me. Well I start driving to my house and the state boy rides my tailgate so bad that i can't see his headlights in any of my mirrors. Well, i pull into my driveway where there is loose gravel at the end and no shit my foot slipped off of the clutch in 1st and the tires chirped when i was halfway up my driveway. Well the cop that was behind me locks up his brakes about 30 ft. past my driveway and flips his lights on. Instead of pulling in another driveway to turn around he just puts his cruiser in reverse and backs up about 3 cars behind him until he gets to my driveway. Well by that time me and my buddy are out of my truck, its in parked and locked up and we were getting ready to go into the garage when the cop pulls up. He jumps out and is like "what was that all about?" I said man my foot slipped off of the clutch when i pulled in, he said "bullshit give me your licence and insurance card" so i was like ehh ok and had to unlock my truck and shit to get the insurance card. Well he fiddles around in his cruiser for about 10 minutes and comes back with a ticket for carless driving. I got a carless driving ticket in my driveway when he didnt even make it until we were almost in my house. Yet he tailgates me for 3 miles, locks up his cruiser and backs up 3 cars to get back into my driveway, who was carless driving?

doesnt sound 2 legit but im no cop. kinda shitty that they can push their weight around like that, sorry it happened to ya bro.

don't sound legit to me.. but i know robbie will come on here with some excuse sayin its perfectly legal...

probly not legit but in reality what are you going to do about it. theres nothing that you can really do. yea you can probly fight the ticket but cops do what they want and theres not really anyway to stop it.

As far as i know it is not. Here in the lovely state of florida once you are out of the car you cannot get a ticket, unless they hit you with the lights before you got out. I would fight the ticket. you have your buddy as a witness, theres no way i owuld pay that fine.

id plea not guilty and take it to court. you were on private property.

Man I had the same problem only the cop saw me chirp my tires pulling out of a road, by the time he turned around I was in my driveway out of the car and walking inside, got a ticket for the same thing, went to court explained that I was already in my driveway and out of the car before any blue lights or sirens came on and it was dimissed simply on because I was already parked and out of the vehicle before his lights and siren was on, his excuse was that he didn't have time to turn them on and I got away without paying a penny.

same happened to me....only i ran a red light and the cop turned around but i had went down the next side street and he saw me walking away from the truck and didnt do anything.

yeah, not guilty dude.
if you fight it, alot of times you can win just because most times the police dont know how to do their job's right. ive gotten off on quite a few tickets bcuz i found ways around the law.

next time he rides your ass you should SLAM THE BRAKES!!!

Ha! I would, Its illegal to ride someones ass like that Im sure you can sue him or something.
