Ok, my fuel pump on the noma took a shit on me last week so i got around to changing it today. Decided to yank the bed instead of dropping the tank and blah blah blah...well i decided that since the bed is allready off i might as well go ahead and install my c-notches. I have plenty of room on the passenger side but there is some box thing on the driver side possibly a charcoal canister? What do I do with that so i can install my notch, its in the way. There are a couple of lines running into it.

throw it in the trash and cap off the line on the fuel pump is what we did to a S-10 we just recently bagged...my fullsize had one under the hood i did the same to it.

what exactly does it do? i have no idea alot of people told me it was alright to trash it. I had no problems outta my fullsize so far.

my toyota wouldn't run without it... it just takes the fumes from the gas tank and lets the fumes pass through filters and tries to make the fumes less lethal to breathe and less harmful to the atmosphere

it is for in the summer when gas is heated from the temp. out side it expands and when it enpands it a place to go so it goes the the charcol canister wich is pictured above and then when the temp goes down or you use fuel it is put back into the tank but you can remove it and not have any problems on a s10 what you do to remove it is to unplug it and undo the fuel lines that go to it and take the one between the canister and the tank and then take the other on off the canister and put it to the tank and you should be set to go
