it amazes me the gap between knowledgable people and non there is on here sometimes. and how people come on the back end, skim the last post and not even read whats going on and find out their post is worthless.
so here it is my OPINION that wheel shops should know they're product and know if they fit within specs to tcuk or if they will frog out.
if your opinion states other wise then you're free to have it, and you most likely work for wheel companies or do them a great favor by doing all the work yourself and then still paying full cost for the wheels. people are forgetting this is a a buyers market, not sellers...
and to avoid any further confusion to anyone just reading this and not the full post:
*it has been found the problem is NOT with the wheel, nor my measuring skill. but in fact that the Belltech spindle is 1/2" out further then stock.*
1.) most wheel shops dont know their ass from their elbow about offsets
2.) for anything other then stock bold on shit YOU are responsible for doing the homework to find out what will fit and what will not. I mean how often do you think a bagged burban rolls into a wheel shop to get fitted. Not very often.
3.) you had numerous sources to find the offset of the wheels from such as
www.fulsizechevy.com or even here
4.)not one wheel company will guarntee their wheel will tuck on a vehicle. i promise you this because vechicles vary from year to year and model to model. plus even if they say their wheels would tuck they cant say shit for the tires you run because that is a big part of tucking too.
basically what it comes down to is that you didnt measure for the back spacing you needed, and are trying it to blame it on everyone but yourself but remember when you point your finger at someone you have 4 more pointing back at yourself.
