after i took that thickass bolt out, the control arms don't hit the Cylinders anymore.

Which pieces are the "forks" that I can shave down?

And what about taking the rubber gasket out thats about 1/2" thick from the top of the Cylinders sandwiched between the 2 metal plates that mount to the car? Or does that help with the movement of the cylinder back and forth?

Thanks again all!J

u can take the rubber bit out and the top metal plate, will get it a lil bit lower

i shaved the lower forks down, and also if you have real thick rubber bushings at the top that will cause it to

I have the same cans, i wanted to take out that rubber cushion but i was told that without it that my strut towers would tear!
does anybody here drive without that 1/2 inch rubber piece???, If I dont need em i will take all four out

Leave them, I tore the strut tower in my old 4 door Civic.

mine drove fine with out the rubber bushings... tehres something wrong with the brackets they gave you it shouldnt sit that high in the front... or... wait did you cut a hole wher ethe control arm hits? it could just be the brackets i had some civic brackets once that made my car sat and inch higher... so i just machined drilled them so the cyylinder sat in the bottom bracket lower...

I hop my civic on nitrogen and i think that with out the rubber piece it there eventually it will tear the metal? How long have you ran without out it and how fast is your air setup?

Keep the rubber bushings in there, they allow the cylinder to move, if the cylinder has no movement, the strut tower will eventually tear, mine began to crack, so i put the bushings in, if you look at a stock strut, there are bushings on them, they are there for a reason
