Keep up the good work, feels never ending. Wait until you fire it the first time, will get more motivation.

It felt good just clearing the garage floor of the motor. Getting it in the truck was the hard part as of so far, but I am scared to fire it for the first time. Wiping a cam lobe, or something like that has me sketchy about doing it. I want it at Scrapin the Coast, so I have all the brakes, with the front ordered. Getting things wired well enough is easy, its just that break in deal that I worry about.

That motor looks tiny in there. Lol.

Don't worry about firing it up the first time, your motor has a warantee.

I was nervous firing mine up for the first time after the rebuild, and there was no warantee on mine. It ended up being just fine.

yah, it has a bit of warrantee left haha. and yes.......its a tiny motor period. just a little 302. even the big blocks look small in there.

okay, thought i lost the thread but i guess it just got lost it hasnt been updated in so long.

motor still isnt fired but the front sheet metal is hung, the motor is in, the little pieces are getting finished up in the engine bay, all that crap. the brakes are complete, just need to be bled. all 4 wheels are finally back on the ground, and well....thats about it for now. will get a pic/vid once it's running.

well, shits wired, front clip is on, just put in the battery, and well.....the electrical still works...a little.

i got brake lights, and blinkers blank (is that pass tence for blink?) for a few times, i think the battery is dead. Will get it charging soon. hopefully thursday. wipers ran once, and didnt come back across. I think i have the wipers set wrong. but, battery on those may be a problem as well. they overhung the rubber windshield gasket so they may be caught a little. I think i can hear the motor trying to pull them back. im hoping to turn the motor over and shit saturday, just me and a buddy doing it.

Did you get it running? I know when I fired mine up for the first time after rebuilding and putting it in I loved it, it felt like a great accomplishment. Plus it was loud as hell because it had open headers on it.

no, didnt fire it up. ran into huge electrical problems, so I am just going to put in a new harness. At least I call melted wires huge anyways, I am sure it could be patched, but I would rather get rid of the 35 year old wiring.

I was looking forward to firing it, a lot. But, I am not tying to burn it to the ground....yet.

Here is a link to a complete wiring harness for a ford truck. Some guys over on FTE swear by this kit and would rather use it than a painless kit. Just a little info, Good luck! http://www.centechwire.com/catalog/fords/k40f.shtml
