those are the old ones. I can't find them at home depot and im far too broke to buy any from automotive bolt companies. They will do for now. It's not near what will be in it when it's all complete and not getting touched. Just trying to get it running right now. Those bolts are like over 6 inches long and I can't find any grade 5 bolts that length. So.....I used stock ones.

Go to Fastenal.com. Order up the shit you need in Grade 8. Its about 1/3 of the cost of the local hardware stores on average.

IE. 9/16" x 6" grade 8 bolt is $6.50 at the hardware store. $1.15 at Fastenal.

will look into it when I get to building my stroked 351 roller. im just trying to get this thing driveable. I do need that damn bolt though haha. I really don't want to order a single bolt.

this reminds me off my project i just got your farther ahead though. And it looks like alot less rust than mine.

mine has mystery rust. you know the kind that runs and hides until you least expect it haha. The rust is there trust me. I need to reframe the bed and floor it, going to build the notch into at that point, and also need to refloor the cab. I got lucky though, the cab mounts on the cab and the frame are all good, might need new bushings but thats not bad at all. Nothing sags, so i'm not so much worried about that.

Just got the last water pump bolt, put it in and everything. Hopefully this weekend the motor will go in.

Anyone know how much an electric fan conversion runs? I may want to swap out later.

yeah, if you check Jegs, or ARP's website, you should be able to find the correct bolts... Shouldn't cost a whole lot...

There is a Fastenal store in your town so you could just drive your butt over there and pick any hardware up you might need.

well damn....didnt know this haha. will look into that. i dont go into town much. just pisses me off even more than this place in general.

figured I would post some pics up, really its not anything special. painted my steering box, and got the clutch and shit on the motor. sliding the tranny on tomorrow, and hopefully have it in the truck by lunch time.
