Good to see you making some progress finally.

For the block, maybe try a gold or straight red if you're doing orange. Something kind of off the wall, that will actually still look good int he engine bay.

ya, i may call my engine builder and tell him to just hit it with some primer where I can scotchbright it at my place and hit it with some paint myself.

After messing with photoshop for a little bit, I think this is the colors I want, and the layout I want them. It is really clean looking, a design the original paint came in just different colors, and it looks kinda old school, yet not plain.

I think that would look good with maybe some cream ro silver breaking up the two colors. Or stock chrome trim if it had it there?

Personally, I think that green would look sick with an off white or cream color.

you may be right Seth. I will see what I can do with white. I don't want the majority of the truck green, so I will leave the green where it is. And I dont want any "trim" on it, as everything will be shaved and all. I plan on having a bullet at the front of the body line as it goes to a blunt point, and have some smoke trailing it..and of course some sort of breaker, but something real simple.

welp, another small update. gotta post pics just because it is more motivation than going out and looking at a torn down truck. dont ask why.

this is the firewall pretty much stripped, will probably pull off that piece on the steering column tomorrow, I think it is just a little cover piece, nothing structural. If it is...so be it, it's coming off.

This was somewhat of a hidden gym, a "diamond in the rough" as some may say. It was covered in filt, far taller than any you can see in the pics. Sprayed it down really good with the air hose to knock the big pieces off, and then I hit it with my air dremel (love this thing) and a paint/rust removal pad. Works great.

I know its not a frame, or a bag setup, or even something major body wise, but for me, it is progress.

hinges were taken off, as well as the "battery tray". Not sure how I am going to do my inner fenders, but probably something like Ernie did with his 620. Use most of the inner fender, and only cut where the tub will be needed. I mounted the inner fender just to get a feel of it on the truck and all, I really liked what I saw...even though it's reall nothing major.
