thanks randy, i think thats what im going to do, 1/2 all the way with the 480s. as far as fittings go, should i just let the shop worry about that or pick em up myself as well. and if i should get em, anyone know what i would need. thanks again

Most shops will just give you a generic fitting pack. Should be okay, but sometimes you have little oddball plumbing issues that a generic kit won't help you with. When I plumbed mine up, I needed two 90 degree NPT's when I was only supplied straights. Just food for thought.

i would do 1/2 valves all the way around, but if you cant afford it then i would do half inch and 3/8 dump

yes they did, and i know ill catch flame for this, but there was some interesting stuff happening on the rear of catch22 when it was going through full travel. Not hating, its a beautiful truck (i mean, was,its a wreck now), but i think some things may have been rushed to get it done on time. it happens

theres scrape-n on the east coast near daytona, but i dunno what their lead time is these days, or if theyd even touch a simple bag job in the first place.

wish i could take care of you, but im a bit busy in school until dec when i grad. but ill be moving to tampa and trying to get a little something started there then.

good luck bro, itll be a bad bitch once its layed out for sure..

ok, if i take $4000 to a reputable shop (ballpark should have more) with no parts, will i get a good job, or should i expect to pay more (or less, less is good, but honestly i should have around 4-5grand)

you should have a good bit more. 4k might get you labor at a no name shop, but i wouldnt expect the best work out there. but theres no way you will get parts and labor for 4-5k.

from what ive seen, the rear wasnt set up correctly at all. im not sure what type of locating system (2-link or parallel 4-link) but whatever it had, the panhard bar was waaayy off.

I noticed this after Dave sold it, so i dunno if it was always like that, or someone decided to go tooling around under it, or what. but when it was layed out, ther rear end was kicked to one side pretty badly. im talking 2-3" or so. it was a while ago, i just remember feeling a little sick after seeing it.

the truck itself is beautiful, all the asthetics work was done very very well. im just not sure about the suspension. ive heard other rumors about the front but i have no first hand looking at it, so thats all just hearsay. im not about to go spreading rumors when i cant validate them. thats BS.

ive also seen a taco raw did and i was less than impressed with the work.

this means when i open up a shop in the upcoming year, my pickyness will either be a blessing by bringing in a ton of work, or a bad curse. who knows?? haha.

and like ive said before, i hope noone takes my comments as hating, i just state what ive seen with my own eyes...
