you also gotta take in consideration... catch 22 also switched from air to hydo's a couple times... so theres always room for improvement... u cant hand build a suspension and be fawless 100% yur gonna have some small stuff that you need to change...

yea, i understand. in the first post i had about it, i said it may have been due to time crunch. but if that was the case i would think after its cycle through the show circuit, it would be taken care of.

anyhow...back to the topic.

id say $4k with parts would be a a pretty basic setup due the extra work involved with the front of these fords. it depends really on how much YOU want to spend and what you want it to look like in the end. ie, do you WANT tubular arms, cuz theres a thread about laying one with stock arms. just moving them up. if you just want it to lay and be reliable, you could potentially save some money here and there by your part selection.

Who says you can't bag a truck for less then 4 or 5 grand parts and all. There are ppl were I'm from that do good looking two link setups for $2200 everything included.

yea.. i got mine for 2k... but id say 90% of people who have f150's have the kp 6 link and they drop 1500 bucks on it... so i have sold kids 3300 bucks to bag there's and there doing the work... no i understand where u live has alot to do with it but... still if your not baggin on 24's it shouldnt be that much

This is the look i want, i still have the lightning ground effects on, i want that to be on the ground figuratively speaking. I also would like to throw some 22's on in the near future, so i want to have the truck setup for 22's so i can just throw em on later, my 20's now with the tires i have now are basically the same size as a low profile 22" package. I'd like to do the KP 6 rear, but any link the shop recommends is fine for me, it will be a daily driver when i'm home, but i'm out at sea for 8-10 months of the year. As for the front i would like to ride very low, so i contemplating doing the spindle flip to get rid of most of the neg. camber, but otherwise will do djm lca's and just right stock height. Thats it, as of right now i dont have any plans on taking the body kit off and trying to go lower, basically i want to get the body kit on the ground, throw some drag blocks in the rear and get a nice 22" set of shoes in the coming holiday season. My budget is 4-5 out the door for everything, i cant afford anything more, what do you think?

like i said, too bad you're in florida.. 4-5 out the door is very doable.. good luck and cant wait to see it done

been awhile since the last post, but want to update everyone.

I bought a 99 ranger, its getting bagged and bodydropped on 20's and should be rolling out to UNITE 08 in May.

I still have the lightning, and have officially decided to bag it.

So far i've bought most of my parts

KP 4 link w/ cantilever
Belltech 2" drop spindles
8 1/2 GC 350 valves
RE6's for front
RE7's for rear
KP bag cups
2 viar 480's and 1 380 for trainhorn
2 five gallons
Still no fittings or airline, gonna have the shop get all that

I'm doing the front with KP cups stock arms and drop spindles, whats everones take on that?

Should start on it next weekend, so i'll keep you all posted

i still think the kp 4-link is overrated for the price you could get a custom 4-link with a watts link. but almost everything else looks good. why are you getting another compressor for your train horns? you should just be able to run the air line from your tanks to your train horns...
i'd also replace those re6s with re7s for the front, but there again i have 2800s on the front of mine, so i like big bags
i like the drop spindle approach, does anyone know if you still need to raise the uppers with the drop spindle?

yeah the 4 link is a bit pricey. I got a decent deal on it though, got the KP link, KP cups, and 1/2 valves for 1500 shipped. I wanted to go with re7's up front, but the KP cups said they were made for re6's. Hopefully they will be big enough. As far as i know you dont "have" to raise the uppers, but we'll find out. I went ahead and ordered my 22's today, on 265/35 falcons. and as far as the compressors go, i'm still open to any suggestions. I currently have the trainhorn with a 5 gallon and a viair 380, should i just get another 380 and just use the 380 for the horns and tank as well. Or do another 5 gallon, and and a total of three compressors? let me know thanks
