I did something similar for my taurus, only Gavin - I have 2x2 under the car on tucked in next to the pinchweld. i have sideskirts on the car so they hide the steel. Just not sure if i need to add anything else or not.

Mike - I think your talking about the 'Most cut up civic in AR'. That thing is badass! I actually have the picture as a background on my laptop. I sent him a few PM's but never heard back from him.

cut the roof off and weld the doors shut

todd's way would be very simple. Just make sure you can jump, stumble, or crawl into it depending on your condition when you get ready to drive.

I considered that and like you said, they both have pros and cons. 'Wow you cut the roof off your car and the doors are welded shut!' Or 'Wow, you cut the roof off your car and those doors still work!' I did have a honda that the rear doors were welded shut. It also had a truck bed of sorts too.... Any progress on your taurus lately Gavin?

The wagon is coming along slowly buy surely. I'm getting the front clip aligned with the rest of the frame and hopefully once that is done I can start making some serious progress on it. By the way Dave, how well did that Mustang dash fit in your taurus? Did you have to trim any?
I've got a dash and was planning on putting it in but didnt try to fit it yet.

Gavin- Sounds like its coming along nicely then. Are you ever on AIM? I'm 'Modemagic' on there also. I have you added to my messenger list, but never see you on. All in all that dash fits not too bad. I'll catch up to you on AIM and fill you in on details.
