I have a 96 tahoe that I am doing a s.f. on and the headers hit the firewall. Do the stock manifolds hit?

ask Cris (bdroppeddak),he's having the same prob. i believe they do though. double check with him before listening to me though!

i made a slight notch for the pass manifold, and then after the firewall was done and bedlined, i decided to put headers on it, the midlength didnt work on either side, then i bought some shorties, and they barely hit on the pass side... so whenever i get back on it i'll have to pull the motor and have the firewall resprayed after i notch it again....

mine hit like a mofo. You can either clearance the firewall or modify the manifolds. I know modifying the manifolds isn't reccomended because they are cast, But I was able to stick them back together again by heating them cherry hot, welding them, and letting them cool naturally. Seem to be holding up so far.

Thanks for all the info fellas. I gues I will keep the headers and just modify the f.w. Hey butcher shop, you got any build pics of that bad mofo?
