*IE, 15-16"" rims, basic interiors and engine mods to raise fuel mileage. i think we will see alot more 4 bangers being used instead of big crated v8s. also, trailers wont be used as much, again, because of fuel being at the price of life itself!

i too would like to see a "green" mini (not the color- you know earth frinedly!) a hybrid, flexfuel... hell, maybe even full battery. Boyd (RIP) did it on the sobe wagon. i think one of us should do it to a mini! -know of any wrecked hybrids? HA!

on a side note: face it guys- we are in a recession and things arent looking that great for our country much less our "sport"! vote smart this year guys (and gals)!

i agree with you also Lucky..but I dont understand (i am probably goin to get smashed) why everyone keeps hollering this recession crap...we would even be thinking of a recession if it wasnt for the main stream media like bsnbc and cnn...i for one am in the boat trailer industry and we are still goin strong like nothing is even happening and we are talking 60k bass boats here..just my 2 cents

Not here to "smash" but sometimes the view from your fish bowl, isn't allways the same as other points of views. I live in the highest area of foreclosure in the us, as well as the hardest place to both work and live in. I'm also in construction, and the trickle down of the housing market buble burst, watching 95% of

im sorry, but what are you even saying??? that you have a hard time (or some do) because they live out west? DUH, thats the place to be, live out west, deal with what goes with it. Live in New York, deal with the economy and crap that goes with it. You live in a place with more people than space of course jobs are going to be scarce and cut down.

I dont know if its just where I live but I see tons of stock cars riding around with nothing done to them at all but have these damned things on the fenders....But I would like to see trucks with some motor work. The average bagged and b/d mini does not have much motor work.

^ ^ ^ it doesnt matter what he says, thinks, or makes sense about... just as long as he quotes what i say and comments in a negative fashion! i could jump on here and say i won the lotto and i was giving him half of it and somehow he'd turn it around and be all weird about it toward me!

I can't really see Minis going into recession too. No ones going to take a step back. I do think that with automotive manufacturers putting out the unique styling and detailed interiors they are, we're gonna be doing a lot less because their so nice to start with.
I've got an 05' Trailblazer on 22's and an 83' Ramcharger on 35's and I drive the Ramcharger to the store. Gas can't affect our affinity to make our rides bigger and better and different.
I personally think more people are gonna go to tube chassis that double as the air tank...that was sic!

Read Impounded's post again. From the part you two are quoting it was not bagging on lucky. It was pointing a narrow view of the economy by someone else.

The next thing is not static drops or old school. How can something that has always been around be "What hasn't been done???". Most rides start out lowered then go from there. Majority are not stock to bagged. They have always been around.

What hasnt been done.. I would like what hasn't been finished yet. The late 60s early 70's sub with the viper drivetrain. That one will be cool when it comes out.

The next big trend will probably come from a younger person. Side Show, Freemans Toyota, Seths toyota. Were all done by younger guys with their own hands. Younger people "don't know any better" so aren't as scared to try new things. Shops in smaller towns have set alot of trends. Clean custom grafting / sheetmetal was pretty brought to the forefront by Grant. Kal Koncepts / Air Syndicate set the scene on its ear with paint.

I like this Quote todd put out about Boyd on the HAMB "I made the comment that some of the cars really didn't belong in a car show which quickly brought a response from Boyd. He told me " these guys work hard on their cars and they are proud of them, that's what matters, and it is not for us to judge them but to respect them for the hard work and effort it takes." "

If you want to bring on a style enjoy the others. Because all styles have work in them. Stock, Lambo Doors, Gullwing, suicide or not.

Lets see if post #2 works.

Back on topic, I think a Mighty Max with full functioning AWD from an Eclipse and a built 4g63 laying body would be sweet.

Always wanted a 4 door Blazer re-skinned as a Mazda. Complete front end, taillights, body line and all.

Last but not least I'd like to see ///RA James (bagged85) finish his Commanche. I love these trucks.

The economy SUCKS... 3.20+ a gallon of gas which is suppose to become 4.00 soon. George fucking Bush is still in office.. Government is too worried about Clemons steroid use. What else can I add This will probably be the worst year I think. One thing I disagree on is putting aside what you want just because of gas prices. If you want a V8, then get your V8.

whats different isnt necessarily what "hasnt been done". you want different build a truck static dropped that rides good and clean as fuck. different? throw diesels in minis that actually run, not just sound like marbles in a can.

or just do you and dont give a damn what anyone thinks. im going back to mid 90's and i feel its different than whats out, not necessarily "new".

I'd like to see more badass motor swaps over here like we see coming out of Australia and Japan.

I am with you man...there use to be a green Wrangler on here that was being laid out but it disappeared off here. It had clear Mazda tails in it. It was very cool
