Surely people still do this...

I've gotten where I don't ask people for shit anymore because of this. People are more than willing to come out to my shop when I'm doing something for them on their rides, but when I need something, they are always busy or you just get their voicemail! That's why I do every damn thing myself. And like Seth said, it does get discouraging, cause you feel like you're in the scene all by yourself sometimes. F-em!

hopefully bein able to drive my yota around town will get me a few more connections. well see. i drove it for the first time ever legally on public roads today and enjoyed the hell out of it. even static dropped that bitch is fun as shit.

Like Trace said, when you are working on someone else's truck they are willing to help. Sometimes too much. The guy with the Nissan insisted on coming up every weekend to "help out". And in the end, he slowed me down, and I got almost nothing done. Sometimes help isn't always a good thing.

I usually only get pissed off when I'm loosing my ass money wise, which has happened quite a lot lately. I like working on my truck, and friends trucks. It would just be nice if they returned the favor sometimes. Its nice to just hang out and get a few things done in a day and go eat some Pizza and drink some beers. But it seems like you have to pull teeth to get people to do it.

I am always down to help, friends and I have driven hundreds of miles to work on trucks before. I give away more shit than I sell too. In my absence I have loaned out my welder and plasma and other tools to work on about 30 trucks. I just think thats the way it should be...
