What's gonna suck is your truck is going to be ever further from layin when you add blocks.

Draggin is one of those things that tends to get old for me at least. Had fun doing it years back but the repairs get costly. I use to use drag blocks on mine and I had the same problem with them turning sideways on me. U have to prep the frame right if u wanna drag frame but draggin body makes good sparks also!!

plated frame worked for me when i had my s10. i drug through my carrier bearing cross member first though. i suggest dragging thourgh anything that prevents you from laying out lol.

I used 1" thick plate steel and welded it to a piece of 1/4" plate steel that I welded to the bottom of my frame and mine will not come off no matter what I have hit railroad tracks doing 30 mph with it to loow and caught them and it stops my truck doesn't touch the blocks still holding strong plus they last a long time it seems like and when I need new ones I just grind the welds and weld some new ones on. Lot of work but completely safe.

I get confused on why blocks are so unsafe but dragging the structural frame of the truck isn't, that seems like retarded logic to me. I would much rather have a little steel welded to the bottom of my frame to drag than drag holes in my frame so the truck is worthless. I mean yeah trailer balls aren't safe but if you fully weld plating to you frame it is perfectly safe and saves your frame which is a smart idea.

There's a huge difference between welding plate to the bottom of your frame and bolting one of these on the side of it. Those are drag blocks. Plating your frame IMO is not drag blocks. Before the BD I drug through my frame and replated it several times. Took 30 minutes tops to weld a piece of 1/4 on the frame. That's not going to fly off. People who mount drag block on the side of their frame using 2-1/2 bolts is what's unsafe.
