if you cant weld just take it to a bodyshop if they are not welded when it comes to paint they will redo them any way ( well at least a good body shop will) and if you do decide to weld make sure they know what the hell they are doin so the door doesnt get warped

Welding is the way to go. I bonded a set in a 99 chevy, everything looked great when the paint went on. When the paint got through baking you could see the ghost line on both doors and the tailgate handle. Everything else looked great that had been welded. We just wanted to try the bonding to see because the supply rep was certain that it would be fine.

kudos to those guys that got away with glueing the filler panels in! but bro as you can see alot of people here speak the truth that nothing will beat welding in the panels......think about the glue giving out under heat or stress and totally f'ing up your paint....the repairs to something like would cost more than doing it right the first time

dont get me wrong i have done both and i am not defending the use of panel bond i am a body tech and we use it for a lot of things i wanted to see if it works and it did its kinda the same thing as red hardner bleeding through on light paint sometimes you see it sometimes you dont

panel bond would work.. i have used it before.. but i would just weld it so it'd be done right the first time..

I was told by a body man that you have to bake the panel bond to 120+ degrees and it will shrink/expand as much as it ever will. Then sand it and body filler. I will never use it, but it works for some people.
