Does anyone know if he is still working on trucks or is he still doing 4 wheelers. He did my setup in 2000 and I have had absolutely no problems out of it. Unfortunely I lost his number and was wanting some work done.

ive got lots of friends in and around Pikeville. Jody was brought up in a coversation we had at Unleashed and from what i heard hes out of it completely. Trucks, 4wheelers, all of it. Rumor was he had some personal things going on, and had dropped out of it all together. Sad to hear, i was just watching a video shot at Nats in 97 and some of the rangers he built are in the video, to this day, i still love those rangers he built.

That's correct. Jody is taking care of some personal demons right now. The four-wheeler shop is closed now, as well as The Drop Shop itself. I hated to see Jody exit the scene. To me, his trademark square-body rangers were always such a fixture at Pigeon Forge. As a 16 year old back in the mid 90s, it was always so cool to see work from the local shop to me make the bigtime.

he was a awesome craftsman. seen him last year. his work was good and well thought out. there will be this guy from tenneessee commenting on here in a bit im willing to bet saying his dad was the brains behind the opereration and hes a drug attic and all kinds of shit. thats bull shit he does have demons like lee said. but who dosnt some are more wrong than others. he was great at what he did. some of my friends got work by him and nothing ever has went wrong with there stuff yet and hell oine was in 1996 bodydropped 2000 bodydropped first of its kind back then. oyea to this other guy sayin ill be the jody hall follower screw you he was good at what he did. hell you can walk behind his shop i didnt beleive it till i seen it last year of all the metal back there if it didnt fit he didnt force it like i can cut a piece a 1/4 inch off and im like hell im welding that not him it had to fit or he got another stick till it was perfect. so when they said he was the one that built perfect frames he was. guaranteed

Bobby,

Did you ever have any work done by him as well? I've often wondered, but I'd say that if numbers were compared, Jody has built a VERY high number of cover trucks, if not the most of any individual builder. (I also may be WAY off in this one, and I expect to get flamed for it if I'm way wrong, but I can count I think at LEAST 6 right off the top of my head).

Did you know Nathan Peak and them guys as well that were helping him out at the end?

hey Lee, Kurt from PA told me Jody was at sema last year. True or not if you talk to Jody and he is dealing with some demons tell him to call a friend you can get my number off the list. or Prick might have my number. Id like to talk talk to him. By the way not to be off topic but is Flem still around I know years ago he had some health issues, and I have always wondered about him. The halls were some off the nicest people anyone could meet.
