I remember meeting Jody Hall in the mid 90's at the Carlisle All Truck Nationals. It was then when I first saw his Red Ranger that was channeled down over the frame and I was aw struck. It got me motivated to modify my 1990 Ranger. I am still good friends Tim Williams that used to work there. He had a body dropped red mazda. I really miss going to truck shows. I still have my Ranger, its in storage in the garage that it was built. I moved away in August of 2000 but I still go back home and drive it around. My Niche Spikes only have 380 miles on the tires LOL.

If you didn't make people nervous before, this is nothing now I remember drooling over his work in MT many years ago. Hope all works out ok.

Wow, this thread has brought back some memories. My friend Tony sent me a link to this thread. We was just talking about him recently. I worked for him for about 2 years during 97 and 98, it's funny some of you mentioned Jimmy's 4x4 blazer we converted to 2 wheel, bag and BD, that was the first vehicle I really had to work on after Flem (his dad) had his heart attack. And if I'm not mistaken bjscustombillet that posted in this thread, I did your rear juice setup and we actually sent you my front rotors off my Mazda for you to try and redrill.

Anyway I worked there until me and my wife pretty much just ran ourselves broke. My wife only worked part time there at Jcpenny in Pikeville and we just couldn't make it on our own for the first time so we moved back home to Southwest VA. I finished my Mazda back home and managed to get it featured in the January 2000 issue of Mini Truckin. I sure miss those days and haven't talked to Jody since probably 00 or 01. After my feature came out I grew tired of working myself to death on that truck and sold it and pretty much left the scene, I did stay in touch with my now close friend Tony Audia I made while working there. I look at the mags and show coverage on the net, but have never ventured back into the scene. I sure miss the late nights working on rides, ridin low and hanging out at the shows, always had fun hanging out with the NC crew from North Carolina!

I have thought many times about riding back down to Pikeville just to see how he and his family are doing. I hope all is going well with them.
