Bobby,

Did you ever have any work done by him as well? I've often wondered, but I'd say that if numbers were compared, Jody has built a VERY high number of cover trucks, if not the most of any individual builder. (I also may be WAY off in this one, and I expect to get flamed for it if I'm way wrong, but I can count I think at LEAST 6 right off the top of my head).

Did you know Nathan Peak and them guys as well that were helping him out at the end? nope just my friends did and it was all good stuff. i dont know him personally. but loved his work

Wow it seems like we all mostly agree that Jody was the shit. I hope he knows all the people that are out here rooting for him and would love to see him back at again. So those who that know him personally let him know that we are here for him and will help him out anyway we can.

I meet Jody years ago at one of the Booger Bash shows in North Carolina & I got to see some of his work upclose! He's a kick ass guy & is never too busy to talk about the sport or give advice on something! When I got my first truck I so wanted him to bodydrop it cause all I ever saw in Mini Truckin was his work!

I must say Jody along w/ his dad Flem were some of the greatest people I have been around. Jody bagged my truck back in 00' and i never had a single problem out of my setup he did. Work was nothing but top notch. I have always been wondering what he was into nowadays, i remember when he went to the 4-wheelers, so i thought he was still there?? Must i say also, he had one of the cleanest shops i have ever been in. Anyone know of what he did w/ his red full-size silverado? Does anyone also know of what happened to a guy named Jimmy Johnson (from pikeville) who drove a square body 4 dr. silver blazer b/d and w/ 17" centerline fluted hawk wheels that jody did too? I lost contact w/ him awhile back and haven't heard or seen of him either..I wish Jody the best and hope all is ok...

The red fullsize went to a young kid named Josh Chaney (I think Josh, it was definately a "J" name) and to the best of my knowledge, it hasn't moved from his garage in a few years. Chace Yonts from Acro/Ky would know that history a lot better than I would. I don't know about Jimmy Johnson, but that was the blazer that started out as a 4x4, right? Shaved firewall, silver, SBC, etc? If so, the blazer now belongs to a guy named Denny Sword there in Virgie near Dorton where Jody lived. Denny has I think 3, maybe 4 trucks that Jody built. Super nice guy, I think Denny actually gave that truck to his grandson IIRC. The blazer was at Heritage last year, but was on welded up suspension (they used the bags for something else, can't remember what), stock wheels, and no SBC anymore. Never got off the trailer that whole weekend.
