When I was a teenager me and my buddies used to drive from Kingsport atleast once a month just to see what Jody was building. With out a doubt the nicest folks Ive ever met in the custom truck scene. I still see them around town every now and then and its just like they have known you your whole life. Awesome trucks and awesome people.

I believe a guy i was in a club with back in the day (Exclusive Styles) named Pat, bought Jody's ranger, then had some orange, purle graphics thrown onto it. Looked great and the work was amazing. The teal blue ranger with niche spikes in this thread was one of my favorite of all time. I remember seeing it cruise by me while i was out front of fudruckers in pigeon forge in like 98-99. Alot of jody's projects ended up comming up north here to carlisles all truck show.. Dont see any of them as of late though.

Wow...haven't heard that name in a while...actually went by and saw him i guess 3 or 4 years ago after the heritage show. Jody and his family were some of the best people you would ever meet. My ranger (94 black std cab splash) was the first truck he did other than his own. I fell in love w/ his red ranger when i saw it at mininats and then at booger bash. Had to get up w/ him and have mine layin out too. Met up w/ him and set up a time to take my truck to him. Was just suppossed to get juiced and ended up w/ i believe a 2 1/2" body drop....was tryin to keep stock hood on it...ended up needin a cowl anyways...shoulda went ahead and b/d'd it more. Anyways..drove it everyday and never had any probs. He would always take time to talk w/ you and was always down to earth. Sure miss him and hope he gets everything worked out. I know of alot of high profile trucks on east coast and even midwest from back in the day that jody someway had something to do with.

Hey guys...just came across this and thought I might chime in. I was the first person Jody started mini-truckin with back in the day. I had a 90' S-10 and Jody had just bought the Ranger. We had a lot of good times working on each others trucks. I actually tinted his windows the first time..before we even lowered it!! Flem was like a dad to me. Him,Jimmy Elswick and Darrin Riddle(RIP) were like our teachers. We would call Jimmy Elswick " Master":) We would work on our trucks all week and cruise to Pikeville and show off our work on the weekends. Damn..I just realized how much I miss those times..Anyway..I went through some personal issues and haven't talked to Jody or Flem in several years. I got my life back on track and Jody will too...He always gave everything he did 100% and is a hell of a man.

Andy...I remember you from back then. You had a blue Toyota IIRC. I think you should remember my red S-10 as well.

I still get up that way from time to time..may have to look them boys up.

I just happened to be looking for info on jody and found this thread. I actually bought Jody's 89 Ranger from him back in 1998 or 1999, dont remember exactly. Had it for a few years then sold it to the guy Pat that was mentioned above. This brings back some memories. I remember the day my friends and I drove from Pittsburgh to Pikeville to pick up the truck. We blew out a tire on the way home in the middle of nowhere. Had to drive back to Jody's and borrow a wheel/tire from a truck he was working on. I remember the day I sold it too. Pat pulled up with a trailer. Wasn't going to buy it at first. The front wheels were still tucked up in the fenders with the bags inflated. When you tried to turn the tires rubbed the fenders. Had to show him you needed to take all the turns wide like a semi truck. That was the last time I ever saw that truck. Those pics posted above brought back alot of memories. I still have some photos of the truck. I'll try to get em on here.
