probably because you have to Z the hell outta it, not many make parts for it and the negative camber is killer. personally I think the camber looks pimp as hell when layed out. Id still do the Toyota swap though on an I beam Ranger.

On a 98up Id go thru the hell of the Z and lay it out.

there is a guy in the build ups section with a s10 clip on gen I that is not narrowed. the track width is almost the same im pretty sure.

oh thats me..personally if i would have found a yota front clip i prob would of done that b/c they are way cleaner looking.  im just using the s10 bc i got one for cheap! and the 98 and up ranger front suspensions u have to z the crap out of them and raise the upper control arms for less camber

track width on the s10 is between a half inch and an inch narrower than a ranger. and at that, the wheel base is within an inch as well. the thought had crossed MY mind to build a newer s10 standard cab shortbed frame for my ranger using the gm 4cyl and utilizing a newer drivetrain in an older vehicle, like my first gen ranger. since most rangers are getting yota clips and v8s anyway. youll find alot of people backing the yota clip option but really its all on you and what you have avaliable and what your comfortable with. you can get a stock s10 clip to lay with a set of drop spindles and factory arms. waaaay cheaper than having to buy new yota arms, or worry about triangulating this or doing that or whatever.

ya and also i dont understand why ppl hate on using s10 stuff on a ranger..why is using toyota stuff any better.....  thed toook ur jobz

i dont think its so much hate using s10 stuff, more like if your going to the trouble and fab work find something that looks fairly good and get the best geometry you can...  but  doing it yourself is what its all about so just go with what you feel comfortable with...
