Single stage is a pain to work with. I use to paint motor homes. A fish eye eliminator will help. It could be caused from something as simple as a little water in your air. Reducer I don't see causing it unless you mixed it way too thin but even then it would run more than anything. I would check your water/oil seperator or air drier start there. Like said above also if any contaminate is on the vehicle this will also cause it, I wiped down the motor homes with denatured alcohol before spraying. Hope it helps.

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT I AM INFACT MIXING THE CHEMICALS TOGETHER IMPROPERLY, CONSIDERING THAT IT IS DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO READ THE MEASURING CUP ONCE YOU HAVE POURED BLACK PAINT INTO IT...LOL...BUT I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THE MIXTURE WAS NOT THAT CRITICAL AS LONG AS UR IN THE BALL PARK???...IS THIS TRUE?

I'd say this is not your issue. Oilly air or water in your air is probably it. How bad are the fisheyes? Why not just sand em down and buff it out?

mix is important but i dont think thats where u fish eyes are coming from.....are u sure its fisheyes tho and not solvent pop????

You should be mixing it 1 part paint 1 part hardener, 2 part paint 1 part reducer and the fish eye eliminator I used about a 1/4 of the can don't know the exact messurement. But that was my mixuture for a gallon at a time. I would end up with almost two full gallons after mixing. Hope this helps.

UHHHHHHH...IM PRETTY SURE ITS FISH EYES...I DONT KNOW WHAT SOLVENT POP IS...WHATS THE DIFF???....ALSO SOMEONE SAID ABOVE SOMETHING ABOUT SANDING AND BUFFING, IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE WITH SINGLE STAGE?
THE_CRUCK   +1y
No, if you sand and buff single stage you will end up with a dull sanded spot in your paint.

THATS WHAT I THOUGHT...BUT IF I WANTED TO I COULD WET SAND ENTIRELY AND SPRAY WITH A COAT OF CLEAR RIGHT...THAT SHOULDNT HARM ANYTHING WILL IT?

You might want to try and dust the first coat on like a "tack coat" then put the first coat on semi wet, and then hammer the last coat on. The tack coat will get rid of the fisheyes. it works for me and I've been painting for eleven years. and then if it has to much orange peel you can cut and buff it since it is non metalic.

I WAS PREVIOUSLY TOLD THAT I COULD NOT CUT AND BUFF SINGLE STAGE...IM LOST...BUT I ALSO HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I CAN WET SAND AND CLEAR AFTERWARDS IF I WOULD LIKE TO...TRUE OR FALSE???????????
