i scrapped out my ol dime from a hit similar to that. buckled the side, killed the skin/ pan, pushed the bed into the cab and busted the bodywork where i capped the bed.... didnt have the heart or desire to fix it

I don't think so, I hit it hard. The one in the front is 3/4" tube. It didn't bend, it just bend the bottom of the bed where it was attached. The one in the back is 3/16" flat stock, and I was able to bend it back with a BFH.

Ohhhh, my bad..... I thought you made all the supports outta flat stock lol

Aight, my 2 cents,

Seth, i followed your build up..great job man!

Hitting the curb is defintily a kick in the NUTZ...well, a shop truck is a great idea, but sheet, with the gas prices these days...I love ridng my ranger low around on this island, but they believe in mountains as curbs or even, how about no curb at all and a rock wall just on the other side of the solid white line..lol well, my .5 cent extra is, when ever I back into a parking lot, i lift the rear, i will share somethihng with you all, i did one stupid thing, I backed a 95 dodge ram ext cab up on a drive on lift and layed it out, and heard the lower rear corner of the bend crunch as it layed on top of the wheel stops....... Reading this made me remember some advice I heard "Whats the first thing you do when your brakes Fail" "Aim for something cheap" Like Bryan said above at least you weren't going down the road, otherwise it might be a front end you were going to have to fix.

What happend to the front wheel?

I ran over a screw, and according to Les Schwab it destroyed my tire and they wouldn't put it back on or show me. They tried to sell me a 245/45/18 for $150 mounted to get me out of there. It was only like 2 inches taller and wider he said. Luckily its close to the shop, so I said fuck off, walked back and grabbed two wheels off the Datsun and made them put it on. They tried to charge me $75 to tell me my tire was fucked.

So I ordered two new tires for the front. They showed up today, and I went back to Les Schwab because its the only tire shop within 15 miles. I walked in and said "I need two tires mounted and balanced." He says "Okay what size?"

"Oh, no I already have them, they are in the truck."

"Sorry, we can't do that."

Just one more reason on a long ass list why I hate Les Schwab.

i had my 205/40's mounted for 12.50 a piece lol. Most places wanted 30 a tire, luckily the "local shop" is good to deal with and have nicer mechanics.

I need to find a small locally owned tire shop. All the big ones don't even give you vaseline. It cost me like $180 to get 4 tires mounted and balanced when I first got my Nittos.
