AntiVirus XP 2008

Well I just tried the program Maz2low sent me. The computer is moving a bit faster, but its still acting p as far as the internet goes. Not being able to search or click on buttons without getting error messages.

From what I see, this is a root kit...and is quite difficult to remove. Most people would rather just reformat the drive for time

I can help you fix the rest now that you have killed Antivirus XP 2008 . Now that you have killed the running processes you can remove the tracks/errors left over . No reason to reformat a system over Internet only type errors

I had to try and fix a friends laptop with the same thing. Took me 2 days without reformating but it still was only about 90% fixed then, and thats about all I could do. It sucks, hope you can get it fixed.

i have the same problem and i want to throw my computer thru a fucking brick wall

while were on this subject. i just picked up this computer little while back from a guy and had no probs with it. now its acting a fool and i ran a scan thing on it and it sayed it removed a bunch of crap. it says there is two viruses left on my computer. i do not believe this comp has any type of protection. any one got some tips for me. i am completly retarted when it comes to this crap. thanks

Seth, at the very least, find someone with a Mac laptop and hook it up via firewire to your PC, then Boot up the Mac while holding the T key, and it will act as an external harddrive, you should be able to transfer files at that point, then reformat your HD on the Desktop. Then reload the files from the laptop, and get some hardcore virus protection and preferably a real external HD that is backed up regularly.

My computer is setup to backup every hour. If Sh*t hits the fan, I pretty much lost nothing.

I'll give it a shot Pete. I don't really know anyone with a Mac laptop out here though.
