Also I need to know which shocks I can use and spring combinations I can use, without this info I am lost.   Joe can you help me out here? --------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------- Originally posted by jfl1960 Edited: 2/17/2009 2:16:15 PM by jfl1960 Well Joe you got me, received the control arms yesterday, missing bushings and the sleeves in bushings that were there are either too long( no biggie there just shave a bit off to make them work) or too short (can't stretch them so they are junk) and some of them have 45 degree bevel on end should be square. So I call the number you gave and asked for Aron, well Aron isn't there and doesn't deal with this type of issue or so I was told, even tried tossing your name around stating I was in contact with you and you told me to contact Aron for assistance, well that got me nowhere, so far I am not impressed with the chain of communications, I have sent some info off to your guys to see if it gets straightened out without your involvement, if all goes well then congrats to you if not then it's off to DJM where I think I should have gone in the first place, the way I see it is if they can't get it right the first time then you still have a big problem and first time quality is the only way to make money. I've included some pics to show you what I have. Haven't even gotten into install problem yet.

jf...   Please understand.  Aaron is not anywhere even near to our salesroom.   You have me email and you can contact me directly by email at any time.  What you did was call in and got a salesperson that could not assist.  Aaron had just left for lunch.  Travis and Aaron will be in touch with you within the hour.  PLEASE... email me when you want in contact with Aaron and I will put you in direct contact.  Tx Joe Morrow      ---------------------------------------------

From Aaron (head of control arm department)  I'll address one problem at a time and answer your concerns.   First No bushings on the inside of the upper arms.   There is no way to install a bushing on the inside of a cross shaft arm. The factory dakota arms use a cross shaft and the factory bushings are one piece and press in from the outside. In order to install the factory cross shaft in the arms, whether they are tubular (no matter who makes them) or factory, the cross shaft must go in first. Then each one of the bushings must be pressed on from the outside and last the sleeve gets pressed in. Use the factory knurled washer and nut to finish the assembly   Second Sleeves are wrong length and  not consistent.   This is just cosmetic . I apologize that they are not the same in appearance. They were made in different production runs and got mixed together. I should have caught this before they were shipped. However, they will function the same even though they look funny. Also, you won't  know if they are the wrong length until you fully install the cross shaft into the arms. The cross shaft has a "necked down" machined surface with a shoulder for the sleeve to ride on. You probably won't even see it until you get the factory control arm apart and the bushings off.   ---------------------------------------------
