Stock Looking Suicide Doors

I was just wondering if anyone has done suicide doors where the door actually pivots back into the original door gap. Most of the suicide door kits open up like barn doors and rotate 90 degrees. I want the suicide doors to have a stock look when you open the doors. I heard people using the stock hinges and switching them from the driver door to the passanger door and vice versa. Any pics or suggestions?

Thanks...

I think it was Sport Truck, or Street Trucks that ran an article on how Aaron Iha did some on a dually. It was a pretty badass setup. He might make you some hinges like the ones he used on that truck. They are more involved than the standard style you see, so I wouldn't be surprised if they cost more.

Don't qoute me on this cause I was told it by someone else.....

I heard Aaron was selling the kits with all the filler plates and hinges for $450. Like I said don't qoute me on it....

I think they look so much better done this way. It will hender the amount of travel you get out of the door though....a buddy of mine has a Silverado done like this...the guy who did them used the stock hinges. They've held up really well.

hard to imagin a KIT for doing STOCK hindges.. but i guess anything is possible.. lol...

the nissan we did above, it acts as a regular door, swings just like it was forward, with the no sag , and no major bracing...

only prob is that targa top he cut out , body needs some support, cab flexes when the truck is parked on unlevel ground

but other then that, its been done for over 2-3 years with no problems...

he just need to finish the truck now.. haha

oh yeah, we did switch sides on the hindges... used some beat up donor doors...
basicly a 1/4 flat plate for the hindges to mount to ... and fab rest the metal to match up to it. is what we did

The kit i speak of.....was in a magazine as a tech article. Can't remember if it was Sport or Street Trucks.

The guy i was talking has a dually like that...and the kit was supposed to fit his truck.
