has anybody ever done a unversal setup on a mcpherson style front strut setup? i havve one i'm about to get into and i see how the brackets are going to fit properly. has anyone done any before? any info and/or pics would be great. thanks by the way i'll be doing this to a corolla.

if you plan on doing a UAS kit, get a set of coilover struts to replace the stock struts, they will get you the lowest. buy a set of Megan Racing coilovers because they are cartridge style. so you can modify the housing to get it lower as well. just hit me up bro, we have done quite a few

here's some Macs we did...........also, using the coilovers you will not have to run the spacer for the lower bag brackets because you have the adjustability of the strut. you can crank it all the way down & get low with it alot easier than stock struts

The front sat WAY TOO high so we cut an inch off the spacer & cut off most of the spring pirch

if i had a shop that would be a good name for it. i am pretty sure it is macpherson struts. no big deal, kinda cool to see my name in a post.

Speaking from experience don't waste your time with air if you want to get low. If you want to lay out, juice it and save the headaches and regrets that will soon follow an air setup. Not sure what year Corolla this is for but my wife had an 01 that we were going to build around the same time I was messing with different air setups on my Sentra and I discovered really quick that it wasn't gonna get close to laying and be reliable enough to drive every day on air.

WELL. IT'S AN 09! ONLY HAS 10K ON IT. THE SUSPENSION IS THE SAME AS AN 03-08 OLD BODY. MY WIFE DRIVES IT AND IT'S ARE DAILY. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO LAY OUT BUT IT HAS !! TO BE AS DEPENDABLE AS POSSIBLE. SHE SAID WE WOULD DO IT IF WE DIDN'T HAVE TO CUT ANYTHING. TO THE POINT , IF SOMETHING HAPPENS I NEED TO BE ABLE TO PUT SPRINGS BACK ON IT. YA KNOW? THANKS GUYS FOR THE ADVICE AND PICS. ANY MORE WOULD BE GREAT.

Unless you do some serious modification to the upper strut tower (lifting it), it won't low very low at all on the air struts - meaning, you'd be almost better off just driving it lowered without adjustibility.

No serious modifications to the car (just the struts), so it can lay and still be removed and reverseable.
