take union dues out, lawsuits, and that 2000$ and the bottom line is the price of the new vehicle would be MUCH more lower...If we bail them out, they need to make the cars/trucks they have at a VERY low price to move that load, free up money put it bac in the system and get back started right.

What people dont seem to understand is if we dont help them out nothing bad is going to happen. They will file bankruptcy, they wont go away.

Look what happened to the banks that went under. Others bought them out and sold them off life went on without worries.

Now by us bailing out all these companies our federal bank is just printing money. Money with nothing backing it but our good name. Our name is mud so with all these increased monies out there our dollar goes to shit and a gallon of milk goes to 10 dollars.

Besides you do not want your government involved in anything. They just screw it up they are incompetant. Look at the money that has all ready been doled out to these banks.

As tax payers we are paying to prosecute these shitty CEOs. Well with there contracts the companies have to defend them. With what? of course the billions the government gave them out of your back pocket with no strings attached.

While I am ranting. Healthcare. You want government involved in healthcare? Look at VA hospitals. There is your government health care.

Well I have had family that has to use va hospitals and its a allot better than nothing!

To help you along I quoted your post. You brought the reference. I said compare similar items. As in you own a kia. Select a comparitive model GM makes. GM has many small vehicles to compare with.

I think american car companies selling out to oil industry demands have finally cought up with them. They ignored the fuel efficient wave that was coming and put out even bigger suvs (hummers, etc.) They screwed themselves.

Plus theses days if you want to buy American made, get a nissan or BMW!! If you want to buy Mexican/canadian made buy "american"

Another downfall of the companies is the hight demands by the unions and UAW. We have an idiot here that puts a bracket on a frame and thats all he does, and he cant even do that right 1/2 the time but we'll pay him $40 an hour with top notch benifits, 401k, etc etc.

American exravegance and greed will wind up bringing this country down!
